Prices for Private Tours listed on our website are per tour for 1-4 persons, unless otherwise specified.

Terms of payment for Day Tours

Booking is confirmed with a 50% registration payment. The payment in non-refundable.
Payments can be made via wire transfer or credit card (AMEX, Visa, MasterCard, etc).
Credit card charges may be subject to 2-3,5% surcharges.
Final payment is due 90 days before the tour.

Payment in full: 90 days prior to the tour’s starting date unless otherwise stated.
90 days or more: 75% refund, if moved to another tour 90% refund
60 days or more: 50% refund
Less than 60 days: no refund

All cancellations/changes/re-scheduling must be made through email to enroute@enroute.is
Registration payment is non-refundable.
Cancellations for day tours:

Refunds will be paid by the same method that the original payment was made.

If tour is cancelled due to weather conditions or any other circumstances on behalf of Iceland En Route the tour is refunded in full.

No-shows are non-refundable.
Upon confirmation of the tour, an agreement will be reached regarding the pickup location and start time, and the contact information for the guide/contact person will be provided.
In the event that you fail to appear for the agreed-upon pickup time and location, your tour shall be canceled without refund.

Prices for Photo Workshops and International Tours are pr. person, unless otherwise specified.

The registration fee is utilized to secure bookings for accommodations, air travel, and any additional reservations deemed necessary for the tour. This fee is non-refundable, although it may be partially transferred to an alternate tour, subject to a 10% administrative charge, if deemed feasible.

90 days or more: 75% refund, if moved to another tour 90% refund
60 days or more: 50% refund
Less than 60 days: no refund

Refunds will be made by same method as original payment received.

In the event that the tour is terminated due to weather conditions or any other circumstance initiated by Iceland En Route, a complete refund shall be issued to clients.
All tours possess a minimum threshold of participants; if this quota is not met, the agency reserves the right to cancel the tour and offer a full refund to clients. However, additional expenses such as airfare or any additional costs not covered by the tour price shall not be reimbursed by En Route, and must be covered by the client’s travel insurance.

It is strongly advised that you acquire Trip Cancellation & Travel Insurance and verify that you are covered for emergency evacuation. In the event that En Route terminates a trip for any reason, En Route shall reimburse the complete amount of the tour. However, En Route shall not be held accountable for any additional expenses incurred by the client, such as airfare, visas, insurance, or any other costs.

Price quotations for Private Tours/Workshops are subject to change until a booking has been confirmed.
Quotes are in US dollars – unless otherwise requested.
Quotes include tax & VAT.
Payments can be made via wire transfer or credit card.
Quote does not include accommodation, beverages or food; tips/gratuities to tour directors, drivers or local guides; passport and visa fees; baggage and personal insurance; nor any items of a personal nature – unless otherwise specified or requested.

TRAVEL AGENT: Iceland En Route acts as a travel agent only. We sell various travel related products on behalf of numerous transport and accommodation service providers, including, but not limited to airlines, coach, rail, cruise line operators and hotels. Iceland En Route does not own, operate, manage or control these independent suppliers of services and is not liable for their acts or omissions.
Our obligations to you are to make travel bookings on your behalf and to arrange relevant contracts between you and the travel service providers. We have no responsibility for these services, nor do we have the authority to make any warranty or representation regarding their standard. A request cannot be guaranteed. All bookings are subject to the terms and conditions and limitations of liability imposed by these travel service providers. You understand that your legal recourse is against the specific provider not Iceland En Route. Conditions can change rapidly in a country at any time.
The purchase of your travel booking constitutes a contractual agreement between the traveler(s), customer(s), and/or purchaser(s), (collectively as “You” and “Traveler”), and En route ehf. dba Iceland En Route (“En route”, “We”, “Us”) pursuant to the following terms and conditions (“Terms”, “Agreement”):
Baggage is entirely at owner’s risk.
The prices of these tours are based on rates in effect (including foreign exchange rates) at the time of printing and are subject to change without notice. Under circumstances where liability cannot be excluded, such liability is limited to the value of the purchased travel arrangements. You specifically agree that Iceland En Route is not liable for any consequential loss or damage.

IMPORTANT CONDITIONS: Prices are subject to increase prior to the time you make full payment. Prices are not subject to increase after you make full payment, except for charges resulting from increases in government-imposed taxes or fees. By booking a tour, you expressly acknowledge your acceptance of these conditions (i.e. increases before full payment and increases attributable to government-imposed taxes or fees after full payment will be your responsibility) applicable to your purchase.

ADDITIONAL FEES: Additional taxes and surcharges that cannot be pre-collected may be charged locally by car rental agencies, hotels or other suppliers. Most properties and vehicle rental/leasing companies require a credit card imprint at check-in.

TRAVEL INSURANCE: Iceland En Route prices do not include travel insurance. We advise all our travelers to buy a comprehensive travel insurance to minimize loses due to any unforeseeable situations during your travel.
Travelers are encouraged to take appropriate action. For your protection, we strongly recommend that you purchase trip cancellation and travel accident insurance or check if your credit card provides one. However, no representation or description of the insurance made by Iceland En Route to you, constitutes a binding assurance or promise about the insurance. Iceland En Route is not an insurance company and has no responsibility for the submission, payment or adjustment of any insurance claims. Any insurance claims that may fall under the relevant travel insurance policy must be submitted to the insurance company identified in the policy.

RESPONSIBILITY: We always do our best to make sure your travel arrangements are satisfactory. However, Iceland En Route and its employees, affiliates, directors, agents, and assigns do not own or operate any entity which provides goods and services for your travel including without limitation, lodging facilities, airline, vessel, motor coach, or other transportation companies, guides or guide services, local ground operators, providers or organizers of optional excursions, food service providers, etc. All such persons and entities are independent contractors and are in no way affiliated to Iceland En Route.

HEALTH AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: It is your responsibility to ensure you are aware of any health requirements for your travel destinations and to ensure that you carry all necessary vaccination documentation. Please inform us of all significant health issues.

PASSPORTS & OTHER TRAVEL DOCUMENTS: All individuals must be in possession of a valid passport. Please check that your passport is valid for 6 months or longer than your intended travel time. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have valid travel documentation, including but not limited to passports and visas, which meet the requirements of immigration and other government authorities at every destination. You are responsible for confirming with the representative government agency of the country to which you are traveling to confirm the requirements for visas and/or other requirements for admission to your destination. Any fines, penalties, payments or expenditures incurred as a result of such documents not meeting the requirements of those authorities will be your sole responsibility. All airline tickets must be issued in the name of the passport/photo identity holder (including domestic flights). An incorrect name on a booking may result in an inability to use that booking and the booking being cancelled. Any errors in names, dates and timings may result in an inability to use that booking and the booking being cancelled. Any errors in names, dates and timings on your documentation will be your responsibility if not advised at the time of booking. Please reconfirm your flights at least 24 hours prior to departure.

ELECTRONIC OR HANDWRITTEN SIGNATURE: Both parties agree that you may acknowledge and agree to these Terms: (i) electronically; (ii) by handwritten signature; (iii) by any other electronic means, including without limitation acknowledgement via email acceptance of these Terms; or (iv) by your implied consent deemed via your actions which shall include without limitation the payment of the invoice and/ or your use of the services provided by Iceland En Route or any other travel supplier related to your booking. All such means will be deemed to constitute effective acknowledgement and execution of this Agreement and shall be sufficient to bind the parties to the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
